La investigaci\u00f3n colectiva de fot\u00f3grafos experimentales en el D\u00eda Mundial de la Antotipiao 2024 fue una iniciativa de la Organizaci\u00f3n de Fotograf\u00eda Alternativa @alternativephotography_com. La misi\u00f3n era intentar encontrar una emulsi\u00f3n inusual y ayudar a hacer crecer la base de datos de emulsiones antotipia. Esta edici\u00f3n cont\u00f3 con 135 artistas de todo el mundo, participaron 31 pa\u00edses, por supuesto Ecuador y las islas Gal\u00e1pagos presentaron la obra \u00abAlgod\u00f3n azul\u00bb. Esta antotipia realizada con Chavelitas y estuvo expuesta durante 24 horas durante 6 d\u00edas. Este a\u00f1o el sustrato tambi\u00e9n fue diferente, el papel utilizado para \u201cAlgod\u00f3n Azul\u201d fue un papel artesanal elaborado con residuos de sigse. El sigse es un tipo de Bamb\u00fa Andino.
