Artists from Santa Cruz and San Cristóbal were part of the first face to face exhibition, “Light, the art of lighting the art” that took place from the 27th of December, 2022 thru the 6th of January, 2023 in the @ciergalapagos edifice. The show was a great attraction for local, national and foreigner visitors, where they had the opportunity to appreciate the talent of our artists and share face to face with some of them.

“Light, the art of lighting the art” is an exhibition that challenges the emergent or professional artists to exhibit their works that goes from experimental explorations, the use of traditional or non-traditional styles on their works and the effects that light produces on them, through a variety of mediums including digital, illustration, painting, photography, etching, sculpture, textile.

The exhibit included talks where the visitors could learn about Night Photography with the photographer Dagfin Sotomayor and Experimental Techniques with our visual artist @monicaapaezfoto
