Anthotype Emulsion Vol. 2 "Earth"

The World's second Anthotype Day took place in 2023 organized by the Alternative Photography Organization @alternativephotography_com. No theme, Instead the call was to try to find an unusual emulsion. 139 artist from all around the world participated from 31 different countries. This year the work "Earth" an anthotype made with Jamaica flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) featured among all the artist anthotypes but this year, "Earth" was in the front cover.Hibiscus sabdariffa) apareció entre todas las antotipias de artistas, pero este año, «Tierra» estuvo en la portada.

"Earth" is an anthotype made with raw Jamaica flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) using sugar cane alcohol made locally as thinner. The emulsion was applied on a 100% cotton paper and was exposed to the sun for 8 days outdoors and received 32 hours of UV lamp. The raw flowers added a special textured feeling to the work.Hibiscus sabdariffa) utilizando alcohol de caña de azúcar elaborado localmente como diluyente.
