Anna Atkins-Tribute Journal 2024 – «Galapagos-cotton»

Art work published by the Alternative Photography Organization as a tribute to Anna Atkins and a recognition as the creator of the first photobook in history. The composition of the art work incorporates botanical elements to the cutting image of the Galapagos cotton flower (Gossypium darwinii) captured in island of Isabela in 2018, pretends to emulate the narrative that Anna Atkins used to published her master piece Photographs of British Algae. The work includes a plate with the Latin name of the plant in order to achieve the perception of this travel to the tribute to whom marked an important milestone on the reproduction of images and photographic publications.
